Beta Tester Quick Start
Welcome to the beta! This guide will get you from zero to rolling in a few minutes.
1. Download RollSight
Head to our downloads page and grab the build for your platform (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Unzip or install as instructed.
We ship updates periodically. Check back or join Discord for release announcements.
2. Activate with your license key
You received a license key in your welcome email. On first launch, RollSight will prompt you to activate. Go to Help → Activate (or the activation dialog) and paste your key.
The key is tied to your email and valid for 1 year. Keep it somewhere safe—you won't need to re-enter it unless you reinstall or switch devices.
3. Connect your camera
Point a camera at your dice tray. RollSight works with USB document cameras (e.g. IPEVO V4K), webcams, phone mounts, or our Dragon Rig. See our setup guides for recommendations.
Position the camera so it has a clear view of the dice. Good lighting helps recognition.
4. Connect to your VTT (optional)
If you use Foundry VTT, install our module to send recognized rolls directly into Foundry. Other integrations (Roll20, Owlbear Rodeo, Discord) are planned.
