Beta Tester Expectations

Thank you for helping us build RollSight

By joining the beta program, you're helping shape a tool that will make physical dice easier to use in virtual tabletops and streaming. We deeply appreciate your time, patience, and feedback. Please read this document so we're aligned on expectations.

What to expect

RollSight is early software. There will be bugs. That's the whole point of the beta—to find and fix them before we consider the product production-ready. We're being modest about that: we don't claim RollSight is polished or fully stable. Expect rough edges, occasional crashes, and features that don't always behave as expected.

We also expect that some features may change or be removed as we iterate. That's part of the process. If you encounter something broken, confusing, or frustrating, that feedback is incredibly valuable.

Our expectations of you

  • Use RollSight when you can—whether for real games or quick tests. Real usage is the best way to surface issues.
  • Report bugs and issues when you find them. A short description and steps to reproduce go a long way. Our Discord is the preferred place for this.
  • Share feedback—what works, what doesn't, what would make RollSight more useful for you.
  • Be patient—we're a small team. We may not respond immediately, but we do read and value every message.

Terms and our right to remove testers

We reserve the right to remove any beta tester from the program at any time, for any reason, without notice. This might happen if we need to limit the program size, if a tester is abusive or violates community norms, if we discontinue the beta, or for other operational reasons. We'll do our best to be fair, but the program is offered at our discretion.

Your license key remains valid according to its expiration date unless we revoke it. If you're removed from the beta program, we may revoke or shorten your license. We won't do this casually—we appreciate our testers—but we need the flexibility to manage the program.
